A varicocele is an enlargement of the veins within the loose bag of skin that holds your testicles (scrotum). Similar to varicose veins in your legs, these enlarged veins can transport oxygen-depleted blood inefficiently, causing blood to pool in the scrotum. This can raise the testicular temperature, which may interfere with sperm production and quality. Varicocele is a very common cause of low sperm production and decreased sperm quality, which can lead to infertility.

Expert Diagnosis and Microsurgical Repair

While many men with a varicocele have no symptoms, some may experience pain, swelling, or fertility issues. We use advanced scrotal ultrasound to accurately diagnose the condition. If treatment is necessary—particularly for infertility or pain—we perform Microsurgical Varicocelectomy. This minimally invasive procedure involves ligating the enlarged veins to restore normal blood flow. It has a high success rate in improving sperm parameters and testosterone levels, often restoring fertility naturally or improving outcomes in assisted reproductive techniques.
